Aktion Club

Aktion Club of Miami County was started in collaboration with the Kiwanis Club of Troy as a branch of Kiwanis International. Aktion Club is a community service club for adults with disabilities. It provides members opportunities to develop initiative and leadership skills and to serve their community.

Aktion Club Pledge

I pledge on my honor to follow the Objects of Aktion Club.
To better my community, my country and myself
To help those in need ​
To demonstrate loyalty to our community and nation,
​And to encourage others to do the same.

Aktion Club Projects

Members actively lead their clubs and serve their community.

Miami County projects include:

  • Partnering with local seamstress to create seat cushions for local dialysis patients
  • Making tie-blankets for Dayton Children's Hospital and We Love Birthday Parties
  • Raising money for March of Dimes
  • Donating to local families affected by the May 2019 tornadoes
  • Collecting items for local food banks
  • Partnering with Kiwanis Club of Troy for annual Bike Path Cleanup and Pancake Day
  • Held fundraisers such as flower sales and concessions sales at Special Olympics events to support the aforementioned projects

Leadership

Each year Aktion Club members vote for new officers, including president and treasurer.
